How to use user licenses

To make it easy for many people in your organization to enjoy the benefits of Datawrapper, your Custom or Enterprise plan comes with a number of user licenses. Everyone with a user license can use all the features of your paid plan — like the custom theme, custom fields, or PDF and SVG export. 

This article answers questions you might have about the licenses.

How can I use user licenses? 

If you purchase a Custom or Enterprise plan, our support team will set up a team with you as the owner. Within that team, you and everyone who you invite will have access to the paid plan features. Every email address you invite to a team counts as one license. 

Can I set up multiple teams?

Yes, you can set up as many teams (and folders!) as you need to organize your visualization process, no matter if you're on a free or paid plan. 

If you use a paid plan, every team that you are the team owner of will come with all paid features. So if you set up three teams, all of the visualizations created within these teams will have your custom theme, can be exported as SVG or PDF, use custom fields, etc.  

Can I invite users to multiple teams?

Yes. Every email address counts as one user license, no matter how many teams it is in. So if you invite the same four people to three teams, they count as four user licenses. 

I need more user licenses. How can I get them?
